Summertime Makeup :(

Ok...So I've been freaking out because as you all know, I just started wearing makeup full blown this past Fall. So I've been concerned about summertime and my foundation. I wear MAC Select SPF 15 Liquid Foundation, and I know damn well during the summer when its 100 degrees outside, it will melt off my face, mix in with whatever sweat my nose usually produces, and clog every single pore in my face....EWWWWWWWWWW sounds GROSS right???? Well, here's something that's even grosser. Just as I was beginning to think that I dont wear as much makeup as some ppl do...........I was in the bathroom doing my everyday routine which is usually just foundation, powder, and blush (of course liner, mascara, and gloss). As I was about to spray my powdered and foundationed (is that a word? lol) face with Fix+, I accidentally scratched my forehead with my fingernail, and OH EM GEE!!!!!!!! lol....it literally looked as though I scratched off my skin, then I realized, I scratched off my layers of makeup. I was sooooooo digusted. So, thats when I realized "IM WEARING WAY TO MUCH MAKEUP!"....So I got my makeup remover wipes, and cleaned my face COMPLETELY! Then, I started staring at myself. I looked at all the acne scars, and red patches, and I told myself that I NEED to hide them, but not to the point where I look like a freakin cake! So, that when it came to me...POWDER AND CONCEALER ONLY! I dont need liquid foundation! Although I do like the way I look with it, I dont like what it does to my face! So now, all I wear to cover up my imperfections is my MSF Natural, and a little concealer. Thats it. Thats all I need to look healthy, yet REAL! So since powder did the trick, I was thinking maybe I should try Bare Escentuals (spelling?) mineral foundation powder. We'll see. I'll go to the mall this week, and test it out :) Luckily, there's a Bare Escentuals right next to the MAC store @ my mall :)

  3. That's all I rocked last summer; my Prescriptives Custom Blend Concealer & Loose Powder. It was too hot for foundation!

I am liking Maybelline's pure.makeup. It is 50% water and uber light. I'm looking forward to seeing if it stands up to the summer heat. I did a YouTube review of it:

  5. Hey Kelsey! I completely understand what you're saying. I wore mac's studio fix for a little bit and then I realized that--I looked like I was wearing makeup!

Lol...But here's my tip--Try using EverdayMInerals. I used to actually use ID Bare Minerals Makeup, but then after I had my twins my skin developed an aversion to the makeup and I ended up having an allergic reaction.

I tried EverydayMinerals.com FREE kit and it's amazing. It provides me with the same coverage and dewy-natural look that Bare Minerals has, but it's all natural and does not contain the Bismuth Oxychloride--(the ingredient in BE that makes a lot of women breakout.

So, I suggest trying the free kit..it's about $3.60 for shipping and handling, but that's it! It's a new company and I think they're just trying to get their name out there. I love it!! I'm sure you will too!! :) Good luckk!!

  6. Before you try Bare essentials, go online and order a some free samples from Everyday Minerals. I ordered some and it says 5 weeks to ship but it only took like a week or 1 1/2 weeks max. I freaking love it. It gives really good coverage that I thought a mineral powder alone wouldn't be able to do. Really try it. I think its everydayminerals.com or google it. It'll be perfect for summer time. :)
